The Disc

Designed to combat strong and complex winds found in the grasslands of Saskatchewan, the Chickadee provides agile and energetic flight characteristics.  The Chickadee is a putt and approach disc with high overstability, made to inspire players to play in all types of weather.  Suitable for full power-grip approach shots, technical scramble shots, and for short ranged putting, the Chickadee will be your trustworthy sidekick while navigating the course.

What you need to know

Textured Top

A grippy texture applied to the top plate to improve thumb traction and control.  Texturing the top plate allows for a strong grip no matter the circumstance - whether you are driving off the tee or scrambling around bushes, you’ll have maximum control.

Performance Rim Cup

A curved radius found on the inside rim of the disc, allowing the player to grip the disc ergonomically and providing an increased amount of flick upon release.  The increased flick allows for the disc to spin at higher RPM’s and to be released with a higher throwing velocity.

Ergonomic Groove

A hard line feature that allows for the player to be able to easily locate their hand on the rim in the same place every time.  We believe that the key to a good putt is creating consistency and managing your throw based upon the changes in your surrounding environment, and the Groove ensures that the putt starts with a consistent hold every time.

Highest Quality Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)

Built from the highest quality TPU, the Chickadee is constructed layer-by-layer using cutting edge Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D Printing technology, allowing for highly consistent and controlled manufacturing of each disc, preventing the historical issue of “shrinkage” that makes many injection moulded discs created from the same mould fly differently.  Each disc has been meticulously designed and engineered to ensure that the plastic meets the high-impact and precision demands of Disc Golf.  

100% Recyclable

Every disc we manufacture is fully recyclable, which is very important to our team.  We understand the stats: a whopping 91% of plastic isn’t recycled, creating billions of tons of plastic that will have a terrible impact on our environment now and in the future.  To ensure that we are constructing plastics responsibly, we’ve indicated the plastic type on every disc we’ve created and ensured that it is an easily recyclable material.  

When the disc has completed its life, please place the disc back in the recycling bin for it to move on to its next life.  Who knows, maybe we’ll have a recycling program to repurpose these discs in the future, but until then, please recycle plastics responsibly 🙂
